A military veteran and retired Army officer, Charles brings a leadership philosophy shaped by service, discipline, and a commitment to helping others succeed. His entrepreneurial journey through real estate investing and business ownership also deepened his understanding of the role financial knowledge can play in creating long-term opportunity.

As his experience in financial services grew, Charles recognized a recurring challenge: many hardworking families were earning income and meeting their obligations but had never been shown strategies for managing their financial resources more effectively.

That realization helped shape the purpose behind SMFG.

Charles founded the company around the belief that financial education and effective financial strategies should not be reserved for the wealthy.
